Abstract Alternative fuels in diesel engines are getting attention due to the current world energy crisis. Biodiesel is a fuel where main composition from palm oil, it an alternative may can replace fossil fuels. However, use of biodiesel has several impacts on engine if its not maintained. The using usually results decrease lubricating oil viscosity and increases metal wear rate. This research will present effect B50 degradation components. method used experiment by testing for long time with Engine Manufacturer Association (EMA) standard. causes significant than Pertamina Dexlite. test that decreased 16.17%. Lubricating also contains metallic aluminium 8 ppm, 27% iron, 1 ppm chromium. Using journal bearing worse piston ring gap. In addition, deposit resulting was 30.97% greater component.
